In the board meeting of  The Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (MSCB) held in Sahakar Sabhagruh of the bank today i.e. on 10th March, 2010. Mr. Manikrao Patil & Mr. Nilesh alias Balasaheb Sarnaik were unanimously re-elected as Chairman & Vice-Chairman of the bank respectively. for the forthcoming year.

            Chairman of MSCB Mr. Manikrao Patil is an Engineer by qualification and represents urban co-operative banks in Pune region on the board of MSCB.  He is a veteran co-operator and was the Chairman of MSCB consecutively for last 3 years.  Mr. Patil gave new dimension to the working of the bank by initiating policy changes with the support of the bank’s board.  During his tenure, bank’s deposits rose substantially to  Rs. 22,064 crore at the end of the last financial year. Mr. Patil is a versatile person closely associated with various social and cultural activities.

            Mr. Nilesh alias Balasaheb Sarnaik has been re-elected for consecutive third time as Vice-Chairman of MSCB. He hails from Kolhapur District. Which hub of co-operative sector & therefore, has rich experience of co-operative movement.

            With the re-election of Shri Manikrao Patil & Shri Balasaheb Sarnaik as Chairman & Vice-Chairman, MSCB is all set to commemorate its centenary very soon.
